Studio Smack consists of a number of like-minded artists of various disciplines. Their work is characterised by a self-willed pictorial language developed from their own concept. Kapitaal is a short film by the trio Ton Meijdam, Thom Snels, Béla Zsigmond and it was financed by De Beyerd (Museum of Graphic Design)
"Kapitaal (Capital) is a typo-animation about legible signs in a city, it's an impression of the enormous amount of visual stimuli that we are harassed by every day. The amount is so big that it's commercial effectiveness has become utterly dubious." (Ton Meijdam)
